THE AUCTION

Time In finds the team at a glamorous 1960s Buckland House all set for a party evening, full of people from the European occult demi-monde with interesting items that they might be interested in selling or trading. There's a tarot-based casino, music, a moroccan theme, posh canapés and cocktails, and the Honourable Company of the Traders of Byzantium running the show in the form of Mr Montague, Mr Capulet and host and auctioneerThe Chameleon. As per the auction catalogue, lots will be sold throughout the evening with the Carcosa Diamond as the finalé event at midnight.

The team need to blend in – some have come as themselves, some in disguise – and neutralise the opposition and competing bidders, while carrying out their heist plan under the noses of Highlander Security.

We split the house into zones – a casino in the snooker room, a hippy room full of throws and patchouli, bongs and record players, a more formal mingling area and bar and the main auction in the ballroom. Meanwhile the team had to repeatedly gain access to the library where the Carcosa diamond was safely locked away.

 

We filled Buckland House with fun NPCs and had every member of crew bar the Keeper IC at this point. We even added in eight or so extra unexpected characters played by LRPers living close enough to pop over for the evening to play a Nazi heiress or a guru...
